WASHINGTON – Some say bacon will kill you. But, if it does, you can now take it to the afterlife.
Justin Esch and David Lefkow, founders of J&D Foods, the makers of vegetarian-friendly Bacon Salt and the popular Baconnaise, have taken the love of bacon to heavenly heights.
For just $2,999.99, the dearly departed can rest for eternity in an 18-gauge gasketed steel coffin that looks like a thick slice of bacon.
“By our estimates, 56 million people die per year,” Lefkow told KiroTV. “About nine million people die in the United States and about 99 percent of them love bacon.”
“The next iteration of bacon is to get into the afterlife,” says Esch.
